Is there a way to automatically have on the quote the amount due on signing based on a fixed percentage?

Yes.

Take a look at Deposit Amount, button at the bottom left on the Document Items screen. Lots of options there, including setting a fixed percentage of the quote total.

If using QuoteValet and presenting this value automatically updates if a client changes options.

Hi!  I'm unsure if resurrecting an old thread is kosher or not.  Apologies in advance:

When setting the deposit percentage, I thought at one time that the amount would appear on the quote.  But when we send the quote, we have to add a note informing the client of the percentage as the deposit amount is not listed.

Is this a template issue?

The percentage value (i.e. 50% or 100% or whatever) doesn't show on templates by default.
In the below I added [DH_DepositAmountRef] to the get the "50%" showing

Last question...if there is no deposit needed, does it still populate on the quote?

Encase it within the BeginDepositRequired (or whatever the filter is) and it won't show.

(looks around nervously) How do I do that?  Can you post a screencap of your template?

Matt and I synced up (tips hat towards the Isles).

He assisted with adding the deposit formula so that if no deposit is needed, the word doesn't populate.
